I have had the pleasure and opportunity to teach people about health for many years. During my time teaching I have always taken it as my challenge to also educate myself on the latest research, findings and applications of prevention based health changes.
I have always thought that health needs to be simple. Straight forward. The science of understanding nutrition can be confusing because really it is so individualistic. We can’t say certain foods or diets will work for everyone. There is no one size all approach that will ever work on nutrition.
There is however, some basic principals that can make health and nutrition information more straight forward and easy to incorporate into your daily routine. Trust me, I get it; I am mama. I have no time to spend counting supplement after supplement or spending hours preparing dinner.
One of the best things we can do for our overall health is focus on getting our gut health right. The gut is considered to be the second brain. It has the ability to increase the likelihood of varying symptoms, illnesses and diseases if it is not balanced with good bacteria and nutrient dense foods.
